19-year-old singer-songwriter Nancy Williams from Merthyr Tydfil is set to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 27, stepping onto the Croissant Neuf Big Top stage—where Ed Sheeran first performed in 2011. Known for her viral debut I Don’t Wanna Grow Up, Nancy has released a string of folk-influenced songs since.

Nancy’s journey from local pub gigs to one of the world’s biggest stages was propelled by the support of Merthyr-born producer Jonny Owen. Her honest lyrics and “sad girl music” sound have drawn comparisons to artists like Gracie Abrams, earning praise from BBC DJ Huw Stephens, who called her slot “a huge deal.”

Now studying performing arts in London, Nancy is focused on building a career through authentic songwriting. She’s rehearsing new material for Glastonbury and hopes this milestone will open more doors for nationwide performances after the festival.
