John Williams, who made the iconic music of Star Wars, is at work again
Award-winning composer John Williams returns to the Star Wars franchise for the tenth time. The 90-year-old pianist takes the piano for the new series of Disney +.
Originally conceived as a movie, the story follows “The Mandalorian”. The series is about the iconic Jedi master of the “Star Wars” movies, once portrayed by Alec Guinness and more recently by Ewan McGregor. The series premieres on Disney+ on May 25, 2022, and Williams’ compositions were also recorded last week.
The story begins 10 years after “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.”
Since Williams did not compose the music for the series, it is noteworthy that he prepared the music for the series. Williams has already done major projects for the big screen with filmmakers such as Irwin Allen, Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg. Williams, who turned 90 in the past days, has worked on the new series of the Star Wars series, as well as the new movie of The Fablemans and Indiana Jones.
