DiCaprio’s new acquisitions have made similar deals. In February 2021, DiCaprio bought half of LVMH’s Moet Hennessy, rap star Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac champagne brand.
Drawing attention to the climate crisis at every opportunity, DiCaprio said regarding his purchase, “From preserving biodiversity in his country to using 100 percent renewable electricity, Champagne Telmont is committed to radically reducing its environmental footprint, which makes me proud to participate as an investor.”
