A new survey has revealed that more than 30 percent of men are confused about their sexual preferences after watching porn.
A modern love study conducted by GQ of 604 men aged 16 to 44 found that more than half of the participants who watched porn had their mental health and emotional well-being affected as a result of the act.
On the other hand, more than half (54 percent) of the participants stated that watching porn caused them to feel embarrassed about their bodies, and 42 percent stated that watching porn made them feel guilty or self-loathing.
Elsewhere in the survey, it was revealed that more than 70 percent of men lie about themselves on dating apps. Among these categories, 36 percent misrepresented themselves in their photos, while 35 percent lied about their age.
On the other hand, 28 percent lied about their career and 27 percent about their height. The study also revealed that 21 percent of men in monogamous relationships still use dating apps.
Participants were also asked what priority sex and relationships were in their lives. Nearly half of men, or 47 percent, said they would be happy in a relationship with almost no sex. According to the research, this situation also reflects their general priorities; 35 percent of men prioritize spending time with friends and family.
A quarter of respondents say playing sports and making money are their top priority, while sex and romance are a top priority for only 12 percent of individuals.
GQ’s survey was conducted between February and March 2023, and 604 people across the UK were asked a series of single-choice, multiple-choice and written questions.
